MetalBird Kāhu Garden Art
The Kāhu is NZ’s biggest bird of prey and the one giving you the filthylook when you interrupt its middle-of-the-road lunch. Although possum- orrabbit-a-la-car is the Kāhu’s go-to meal, they also like to cruise the wideopen spaces for small birds, mammals and insects. In spring, they’re famousfor their dramatic mating dance involving lots of diving, calling and generalshowing off. To Māori the Kāhu is a symbol of victory and one flying over thevillage during a tribal meeting was a very good sign. What a cool addition toany backyard.

What might initially resemble generic rust is simply the air and water-tightpatina forming over a six month period, so don’t panic! Your Metalbird isdoing exactly what it’s been designed to do, and this patina will protect thesteel from any further damage and disintegration.
CorTen steel does not require any treatments, oils or chemical additives andis therefore extremely environmentally friendly.
Delivery Times
We use CourierPost for most orders, which allows for fast and reliable delivery to destinations across their comprehensive domestic network. Delivery times are 1-2 working days but can vary depending on a product's stock status and the intended delivery address.
Heavy and Bulky Goods
Larger products will be shipped via Mainfreight. Please allow an extra 1-3 days for heavy and bulky goods like chairs and desks.
New Zealand Delivery Rates
Most of our products ship for $4.90 to $8.90 NZD per shipment, not including heavy and bulky goods. An accurate shipping cost will be calculated during the checkout process.

Most orders are shipped using New Zealand Post and these parcels are shipped with no-signature required. For our heavy and bulky goods, these are shipped via Mainfreight with signature required.
