The Karearea might be our most threatened bird of prey, but that doesn’thold them back because they are relentless. From high vantage points thisfast-flying raptor launches into a dramatic chase after its live prey. Whennesting on the ground they are known for attacking intruders, including humans,with aggressive dive-bombing strikes to the head. Not the ones you see feedingon roadkill, both our male and female native Falcons can be identified by ahandlebar moustache. It’ll make a mighty powerful impression to yourbackyard.
